It’s been so long since I’ve curled my hair, because I accidentally misplaced my curling wand when I moved over the summer. But, I’ve since found it & now have been taking the time out to curl my hair. The lob hairstyle is very popular (I’ve had one on and off since may 2013), and it looks so gorgeous with some loose waves. I’m trying to grow mine out to be more collarbone length, but I like the length it’s at now and think it looks great with this curled hairstyle. Want to see how to get this low maintenance look? On 2nd day hair (pre-treated with some dry shampoo), I usually like to change up my style, whether it be straightening (or restraightening) & now curling. For my curling wand, I use the Cortex 4-in-1 curling wand. I’ve had this for years, and it’s quite affordable for all that you can do with it. I’ll probably upgrade eventually, but this is what works. I used the Big Sexy Hair Get Layered Thickening Hairspray because it’s the only one I have right now, and the thickening factor interested me since I have short hair. Don’t forget a heat styling glove (mine came with my wand) and some hair clips for sectioning off hair.
My major keys 🔑 for loose, everyday curls is a larger barrel size, only curling the middle portion of your hair (avoiding the root and the end), and using varying size chunks of hair. All of these 3 tips, as displayed in the video, make the curls look very natural and not too done up, Shirley Temple-style.
I can’t wait to see how this style looks when I grow my hair out a bit more and get a blunter cut. But, for now, I’m loving this look and it only takes around 15 minutes- perfect for every other day!
