Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics is donating a portion of the proceeds of 3 of their Crushed Mineral Blushes (in Tulip, Sherbet, and Dusty Pink) to Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation this month. I received 2 of these blushes to review (and will have a giveaway for Sherbet) by the time this month ends. But, in the mean time, pick up one or all of these products to help stop breast cancer!
Youngblood Mineral Radiance Crème Powder Foundation Review
Recently I got the opportunity to try out Youngblood‘s cream foundation, so I was pretty excited to try it out and share it with you guys because I haven’t used a cream foundation in forever! What makes this foundation different is that it is a cream to powder foundation, so if you like, you don’t have to apply powder afterwards!
My shade is “Barely Beige” and it is the perfect shade for me! It’s a little bit darker on the top layer of the pan, but that goes away after being swiped. This foundation can be found online for $56. I think this is a pretty steep price, but I think YB’s high quality vegan ingredients make up for it.
The compact flips up and houses a sponge underneath to easily use. I don’t like to use sponges, though, so that doesn’t matter for me. But, it’s good if you like sponges or like to reapply your foundation throughout the day!
The product feels very weightless on my skin and feels really nice. But, I find that I get oily pretty fast since this is a cream, and is intended towards dry and normal skin types. I do like this product still because I know it’ll work better when I have more normal/dry skin when fall and winter weather reach here in California!
It has nice coverage and texture, so definitely check it out!

This year I’ve finally been inspired by fall colors to create a makeup tutorial. Youngblood Au Naturel Lipliner & Blushing Nude Lipstick (Fall 2012)
I recently went to a Youngblood Event and was lucky to get some great goodies, including what I’m talking about today! As you know, I am an orange lipstick girl, so I wasn’t sure if I’d like these lip products! But, they’re nice to have because I can’t wear orange all of the time (i.e. during interviews, etc.). These lipsticks are from their Fall line, which just came out August 1st. The colors are very nude inspired, including a bronzey gel liner, a palette, and these lip products. Anyways, onto the products!
The collection includes a couple of products to make the perfect nude lip. First, the Au Naturel lip liner, and then the Blushing Nude lipstick. This was my first test of Youngblood’s lipliners, so that was exciting! I’ve got to say, it’s a very nice color that you can use under any shade! The lipstick is the 2nd one of tried from YB, my ultimate favorite will forever be Tangelo, since it’s orange…but hey, if they come out with another orange just for me, I’m not going to complain! 😉 Anyways, now onto the swatches!
I think overall it looks pretty nice, but I’m definitely never converting from orange, EVER! 😉
Find these at Youngblood’s website!
What is your go-to lip color?

Youngblood Incredible Wear Gel Liner in Sienna Review (Fall 2012)
Youngblood is an awesome brand that has been on my radar only since the beginning of this year. I’ve been lucky enough to try some of their awesome mineral products and I definitely think they put what we consider “traditional” mineral makeup to shame! After attending their event last week, I have the opportunity to test out their gel liner in Sienna that I received in my goody bag. I actually don’t currently use gel eyeliner, and haven’t in a really long time! So, I was pretty excited to test this out, even though I knew I wouldn’t be good at it! I was actually surprised that I didn’t do too badly…but it’s definitely not my best work. Here’s the look I created with this liner:
Here are some things about this liner- it is very mousse-y, which I’m not used to at all! But, it is nice. I also think the color is very forgiving if you mess up since it matches the neutral palette of a lot of eyeshadows I wear. I’m wearing it both on my top and bottom lash lines. I didn’t think it lasted long on my bottom waterline/lashline area though, but I had no issued with my upper lash line! I have heard of people using gel liners as a base for eyeshadow, so I think this may be a viable option for that because of it’s texture- I’ll have to try that out! Youngblood’s Incredible Wear Gel Liners retail for $21- which I think is a fair price!
What’s your fave gel liner?
