This past weekend I attended Pamper Me Fabulous at Vibiana in Downtown LA. I also attended last year and wrote about it on Nadine Jolie’s blog. If you’re unfamiliar with PMF, it is essentially a perfect ladies’ event full of shopping, seminars, and fun workouts. There are a plethora of brands selling beauty, fashion, food products, and more. Sponsors included Dermalogica, Vision Essentials, Body Boudoir, and Crazy Girl. If you’re interested in attending, there are events in Dallas, Chicago, Miami, New York, and they will be back in LA in November! Don’t forget to bring your girlfriends!
Stila After Glow Lip Color in Electric Pink (Review & Swatches)
Stila‘s new After Glow Lip Colors are twist up crayons featuring neon pigments that will glow under a black-light. I’ve been loving this pencil lately because it has a medium coverage (that is very buildable) and stains the lips to make it long lasting. It comes in 6 shades total- I have Electric Pink to share with you today!
The twist up crayon makes this product super easy to use on the go.
It’s not fully opaque but it’s easy to build it up!
It looks gorgeous on the lips- it’s super bold! I’m loving this right now- it’s going to be an essential for spring and summer. It is such a light feeling lip color, which is another reason why I love it. I haven’t tested the black-light abilities, but I’m sure it works. If you are a party-girl, you may be able to wear this out to a club or any place that has black lights to see this baby glow! They are cherry flavored, but it’s very subtle. It smells delish! I’d definitely check these out- I now want to try the other shades!
These crayons can be found online or at Sephora for $18!

Birchbox March 2013 Review
March’s Birchbox had a “March Madness” theme- but skip the sports, this is about beauty all-stars. Their social media tactics for the month were also with the theme, conducting beauty face-offs on Facebook. Now read on and find out what I thought of my March Birchbox‘s contents!
twistband Headband: I hate these things. The elastic stretches out so quickly, it fails at holding the hair. This headband version is $19 for just 6 headbands. To me, these bands are overpriced and not effective.
Whish Shave Crave Blueberry Shaving Cream: Whish created a new blueberry scent just for Birchbox. It smells delish! This cream is non-lathering and ultra moisturizing. It’s horrible to use in the bathtub though, it kind of clumps up and floats around the bath. Because of that, it got in my hair and made it greasy. For that reason I wasn’t nuts about it, but if I had used it in the shower, it would have worked better. The full 150ml costs $20.
Madewell for Birchbox Nail File: This cute floral nail file was created by Madewell exclusively for Birchbox. They value this at $5, which is kind of a joke for a nail file. Although it does the job, it’s not worth all of that money just for a cute pattern- a dollar file from the drugstore will do!
Evologie Intensive Blemish Serum: I’m not crazy for skincare in my boxes, because I have no idea if it’ll work. This serum, however, I did like. I’ve been having issues with my skin lately and the ingredients in this really dried blemishes up nicely. It smells like tea tree oil to me, which is an old favorite skin saver. I found the ingredients online, and not only does it have tea tree oil, it also has salicylic acid and willow bark extract. I’m a fan of this. The tiny size is a nice sample since you use such a small amount. The full size costs $35.
Incoco Design Nail Polish Appliques: I’ve yet to use these, but the cool blue swirly design will be fun for spring and summer. I will do a review/tutorial on these in the future! These retail for $10 alone, so they pretty much pay for the box itself!
Overall I really liked this box because it was worth the money. Can’t wait till next month!

POP Beauty Peak Performance Mascara Review
POP Beauty launched their Peak Performance Mascara last year and it has proven to be quite an innovative product! This mascara has a cool comb applicator instead of a wand. It comes in 3 shades, a black called Brilliant Black, a brown called Cocoa Charm, and a blue called Inky Indigo.
This mascara is also very hygienic and will last a lot longer than regular mascaras because you are not exposing the entire product to the air, you are just twisting a little bit into the comb at a time!
The cool comb applicator will take a minute to get used to, but it’s a really effective way to apply mascara. I find that this mascara is great to use on bottom lashes because the applicator makes it that much easier! Before showing you each of the mascaras on my eyes, I’ll let you know a little more about the formula. This mascara is a pretty wet formula that kind of makes your lashes look shiny! It is mainly a volumizing mascara, so I actually prefer to use it as a mascara “topcoat” for some additional volume. I did find that it flaked a little bit though!
The black is a must-have. I showed it here layered over a lengthening mascara, also by POP. I like this combo because it provides both length and volume. In the other photos you will notice there is a lot of volume but no length.
Cocoa Charm gives a very natural look to the lashes. Peak Performance kind of tubes around your lashes, making it look very natural. As you can see it’s not clumpy or dry looking…it almost looks shiny! This one I’d say you could skip, unless you’re a beginner with makeup.
Inky Indigo is by far my favorite, just because I really like the idea of colored mascaras for spring. I wish this one was a little more electric, but it does show up very nicely on bottom lashes!
Overall this mascara isn’t for everyone, but I really liked it. It’s priced at $20, which will make it an occasional splurge for me, but not a daily must have. I think you should try it just because it’s so unique! Find POP at ULTA or online!

Jessica Nails Amira/Smitten Kitten & OPI I Lilly Love You Swatch
Recently I wore this combo of polishes and I really liked it. Jessica’s Amira Smitten Kitten is from the It’s a Girl Thing spring collection, and OPI’s I Lilly Love You was from spring 2011. I don’t wear pink a lot but I thought that this would be a good combo!
This polish was an easy 2 coats, and I added 1 coat of I Lilly Love You on my ring finger for a little extra bling. I’m wearing this combo on my toes too and it’s holding up well! Jessica nail polishes are $7.50 online and OPI’s polishes are about $8.50 at ULTA.
