I was really excited to receive a POPSUGAR Must Have Box at a party they sponsored during IMATS. I think this box is really fun to receive every once in a while, as it’s a bit pricy. I think this box was a lot better than the October Must Have Box that I reviewed, so let’s get into the products:
- Rifle Paper Co. 2014 Flip Around The World Calendar ($16): This lifestyle extra isn’t the most practical thing ever, because it just sits on your desk, but the illustrations are cute.
- Pipcorn White Truffle Mini Popcorn ($6): When I first saw the word TRUFFLE on this bag of adorable little kernels, I got a bit wary because I don’t like the flavor of them. But, I opened up the bag and got addicted. The flavor of this is very subtle, thankfully…and the entire bag is under 500 calories. I don’t feel so bad for finishing it in 2 days! I would definitely get more of this, but I think $6 for a snack is a bit expensive, so I think I’ll pass for now!
- Jack & Lucy Tech Gloves: These gloves are nice for those in a cold climate, but in California I don’t have much of a use for these right now. I do like that they have the fabric you can use on touch screens, because I hate taking my gloves off to use my iPhone!
- The Juice Generation book ($20): I don’t have a juicer, so this is not the most helpful to me. I will hand it over to a friend who has a juicer and maybe we can try some of these recipes together!
- Revlon & Marchesa Box O’ Files: This pack of mini nail files is perfect for a purse. Not something I would purchase myself, but they were cute.
- Malin + Goetz Detox Face Mask ($40): This face mask is so cool! It starts off as a lotion that smells like almond, and after a few minutes it creates a super thick & bubbly foam (pictured below)! Because it foams, it really reminds me of the Radical Instant Revitalizing Mask I recently reviewed. I loved getting this product because it is really neat, and it also makes up for more than the value of the box! I like how it will work for all skin types as well. Definitely the hero product of this box.
Overall I thought this box was pretty good. If it didn’t have the face mask I’m not so sure I would have liked it! This isn’t a box that I’d subscribe to monthly, just because $35.95 is a lot to gamble on randomly picked items, but I do think it’s a nice treat to get every once in a while!
