Neutrogena’s Pink Grapefruit Oil Free Cleansing Wipes recently piqued my interest during my makeup wipe stint at Target a few weeks ago. I thought these would be promising for my acne prone skin, and I knew they would smell good, too! In short, I am not a fan of these. Although they smell AMAZING, strong and just like their other pink grapefruit products, I find that the wipes burn my eyes. When I use makeup remover wipes I want them to remove all of my makeup, from face to lips to lashes. I know a lot of people use eye makeup remover but I have never gotten into that for some reason! These wipes removed my makeup well and didn’t make my skin feel strange, but the eye burning is a deal-breaker for me! I’ll use these up, but I wouldn’t recommend or repurchase them! These are around $5.99 wherever you can find Neutrogena.
Youngblood Incredible Wear Gel Liner in Sienna Review (Fall 2012)
Youngblood is an awesome brand that has been on my radar only since the beginning of this year. I’ve been lucky enough to try some of their awesome mineral products and I definitely think they put what we consider “traditional” mineral makeup to shame! After attending their event last week, I have the opportunity to test out their gel liner in Sienna that I received in my goody bag. I actually don’t currently use gel eyeliner, and haven’t in a really long time! So, I was pretty excited to test this out, even though I knew I wouldn’t be good at it! I was actually surprised that I didn’t do too badly…but it’s definitely not my best work. Here’s the look I created with this liner:
Here are some things about this liner- it is very mousse-y, which I’m not used to at all! But, it is nice. I also think the color is very forgiving if you mess up since it matches the neutral palette of a lot of eyeshadows I wear. I’m wearing it both on my top and bottom lash lines. I didn’t think it lasted long on my bottom waterline/lashline area though, but I had no issued with my upper lash line! I have heard of people using gel liners as a base for eyeshadow, so I think this may be a viable option for that because of it’s texture- I’ll have to try that out! Youngblood’s Incredible Wear Gel Liners retail for $21- which I think is a fair price!
What’s your fave gel liner?

Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes Review
Last week, my sister told me that we had run out of makeup removing wipes. So, I took a trip to Target, and like any other beauty blogger, rather than buying 1 type of wipes to use, I bought 5. I’ll be trying out different brands of makeup removing wipes and reviewing them on the blog as I try them out. The first ones I’m trying are Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes. I don’t use Burt’s Bees regularly (my sister loves their chapstick, though), so I was excited to try these out. First off, they smell really nice. Citrusy and sweet, in my opinion. They do remove makeup well, also. The wipe is a nice sized rectangle to get your whole face. The only thing I don’t like about these wipes is that they leave a sticky residue. So, if you don’t wash your face until a while after removing makeup like I do, these may not be your favorite. I even had sticky fingers after using these wipes. It’s not only my opinion, buy my sister doesn’t like them either. These cost $5.99, and unfortunately are not worth it in my opinion!
Tell me in the comments, what are your favorite makeup removing wipes? Maybe I’ll try them out to review!
Revolution Organics Freedom Glow Beauty Balm in Blushed
Revolution Organics was a brand I was completely unaware of until I had the opportunity to try their product (crazy, huh?!). The idea behind this is that it is a multi-use balm to use on your cheeks and lips (other colors can be used on eyes and body too!). It’s a big chubby chapstick-like packaging which is pretty cool. The color I got is in “Blushed,” which is a medium toned pink. I like to use this as a base for powder blushes if I’m wearing pink blush for the day!
This Freedom Glow Beauty Balm retails for $34, which is a little steep in my opinion…I know I wouldn’t pay that much for it! If they had an orange, you never know, though! 😉
It looks nice and pigmented on the lips, but I wouldn’t wear it on a regular basis since I’m usually wearing orange lipstick, obviously! It’s also similar to Revlon’s Lollipop lip butter in my opinion. It’s a nice product, but I definitely don’t think people should pay that much for what it is!

Pixi Large Lash Mascara in Best Brown
I’m currently interning at Pixi so I got some products to try out, one of which, was this mascara. It’s their Large Lash Mascara in Best Brown. I don’t typically wear brown mascaras but I find that it’s dark enough to look fine! I really like how this mascara looks because it lengthens a lot with a little bit of volume, and isn’t clumpy! You can find this online or at Target for $18.
I think it looks really nice. What do you think? Let me know in the comments what your favorite mascara is!
