Since 2012 has come to an end, it’s time for me to share my top 12 favorites of 2012! I’m excited for what new products come in 2013, but I know I’ll be using these still!
1. Highligher: MAC Perfect Topping (LE) and Benefit High Beam. I’m definitely a lot more into highlighting in 2012 than I was in 2011. I started off with High Beam for a creamy highlighter, but now I am just getting into using powder highlighters. I do want to find more powder highlighters to use, so let me know your favorites!
2. Seche Vite Top Coat: I love this top coat for my nail polish because it dries so quickly and is ultra shiny!
3. Brown Eyeliner: Urban Decay in Underground. I’ve gotten over my black eyeliner phase (which I swear has been at least 5 years long) and switched to brown! I find it to be a lot more natural, but you can go dramatic with it too!
4. Matte Eyeshadows: Inglot Matte Eyeshadows in 351, 360. I have been using my matte shadows from INGLOT a lot more frequently than I used to, and now I want to get a lot more of them! I plan on getting some more Inglot shadows at IMATS, but I’ve had my eye on the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette ever since it launched!
5. Orange & Oxblood: I’ve had a couple of color obsessions in 2012 that will definitely carry on into this year. I have way too many orange products to count, but some of my favorite Oxblood products are MAC Media and Wet n Wild Cherry Bomb lipsticks!
6. MAC Brush Cleanser: I deep clean my brushes maybe once a month, but MAC’s cleanser tides me over before I get to deep cleaning. I like to spot clean my brushes with this after every use. So many germs are in dirty brushes, so clean them between uses to minimize breakouts! (Click here to see how I deep clean my brushes)
7. Hair Oils: I have so many hair oils that I’ve fallen in love with in 2012. My ultimate favorite is L’Oreal’s precious oil, but I also have DermOrganic’s, Emtage, got2b, and Pureology oils. There are oils available at every price range, but make sure to read ingredients because some oils are straight oil, but some have silicone. I don’t mind ones with silicone, personally!
8. Pssssst! Dry Shampoo by Freeman: I haven’t had much luck with dry shampoos in the past, but this one is the first that I’ve tried that has worked on my dark hair. I love it! I want to try out hair powders, but not many are available!
9. Julep Drying Drops: I love these to speed up the drying time of my manicures even more. I have a review on them if you are interested.
10. MOR Neroli & Clementine Hand & Body Lotion: I love orange blossom scents, so this lotion is a definite fave. I see myself only using this lotion and trying different scents once I run out of other lotions! I have a review of it too!
11. ELF Eyelash Curler: I’ve used this eyelash curler for as long as I can remember, and it’s a drugstore bargain at only $1. Now that I have replacement pads, I’ll have curled lashes for 2013 and beyond!
12. Canon Rebel T4i: I’m obsessed with this camera! I got it in August and paid for it with my own money, which I’m very happy about. Since then that’s what all of my videos and photos are taken on and I’m loving the quality. The professional appearance has made me so inspired to create better content!
Those are my 12 faves! What are yours?
