Dress: Asos | Shoes: Steve Madden (TJ Maxx) | Necklace: Outrage Fashion
One of my goals for 2014 was to do more fashion posts. Unfortunately, I haven’t done many at all, but I’m excited to start today. I ordered this ASOS CURVE Body-Conscious Dress With Asymmetric Hem In Longer Length and instantly fell in love! I actually wore this the day after getting it in the mail. As a “plus sized” girl, it is really hard for me to find clothes that are flattering, inexpensive, and trendy. ASOS is one of the stores that I check frequently because their Curve line is not too pricey and is always trendy. I love this dress because it isn’t too short (although they have a shorter length), has sleeves to cover my arms, and a high neckline to make it more conservative. I think this dress could easily be dressed down for a night out or a casual street look, but I wore this to work all day and got loads of compliments. The same dress could bulge at the seams for others. But then, there always is the option of altering the size of the dress to suit the numbers. Or better yet, try a hand at tailoring a dress and making it look as good as new by clipping it off with some labels which one can order custom hangtags from CBF Labels.
I paired it with some Steve Madden chunky heels that I got at TJ Maxx for $50 (but lets be honest, they were off within an hour!). I can only wear short chunky heels, my feet can’t handle other heel! Because the dress is plain and has a high neckline, it’s a perfect vehicle for a statement necklace. I have tons of statement necklaces that would work for this, but I went for a monochromatic look. My necklace is from Outrage Fashion, which is a trendy fashion site I was recently introduced to. I want a lot more of their products because they are so cute! This is their Jones Necklace in white, but unfortunately it’s out of stock! So many stores offer similar statement necklaces nowadays- I’d also love this look with a neon statement necklace!
This dress is just perfect for me. It’s definitely going to be a staple in my wardrobe, hopefully people won’t tire of seeing me in it! I might have to pick up this dress in the shorter length, because I can see this one getting worn out a lot. If only they made more colors! Bonus, it won’t break the bank, either, at $41.92 with free shipping!
