Today I thought I would show you how to watermarble your nails. This technique is actually really easy, so I want you to try it! I used my favorite spring nail polish colors that I blogged about. This technique looks hard, but it really isn’t if you use the tips I suggest in the video!
You need:
Room temperature water
A SMALL container (the size of mine is perfect- you don’t want something huge that will make the polish spread a lot)
Toothpicks (or skewers, orange wood sticks, etc.) for swirling the polish and cleaning up after dipping
Tape to put around your nails (you can also use vaseline if you are careful!)
Nail Polishes (If you’re new, start with 2 or 3!)
Tips:
If your nail polish doesn’t spread out, it may be because your water is too cold or too warm. Try to spread it out with your toothpick before switching the water.
Make sure all of your nail polish bottles are open so it is easier to drip.
Technique:
Drip: Drip the nail polishes into the water container
Drag: Drag the nail polish from the outside to the inside, using your toothpick.
Dip: Dip a nail or two into the mixture, making sure to clean up the excess polish with the toothpick so it doesn’t make a mess.
Let me know if you have any questions…and send me photos if you try it!
