They say the grass is greener on the other side, and to me, that’s definitely true when it comes to exciting beauty brands across the pond. My friend (slash roommate- follow her @lucygraham on instagram) went on a trip to London recently & brought me back some amazing goodies. When we exchanged our belated Christmas gifts I was blown away by all of these awesome products that I’m excited to try. Be sure to comment below with what product you think I should review first!
The Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in No. 1 Fair is an exciting one for me, because I loved the formula whenever I bought & tried it when I was in London a little over a year ago. But, I had purchased a shade that was too dark for me so I couldn’t wear it. It’s definitely a cheap trick from the drugstore because it is so longlasting- up to 16 hours to hide blemishes and conceal undereyes. I’ve only used it once thus far but I’m excited to add it into my routine.
A brand I’ve been wanting to try but haven’t until now is Sleek. I haven’t heard of the Sleek MakeUP Barekissed Illuminator and it’s honestly not a product I’d typically reach for as I’m more of a powder highlighter kind of girl. But, I took a chance and mixed the shade Monaco with my BB cream & it gave a gloriously dewy finish. Adding a little extra to the cheekbones made for the most radiant complexion!
I literally *died* when I unwrapped the ✨ Charlotte Tilbury Bar of Gold Light Reflecting Highlighter ✨. It’s been on my wishlist ever since I first saw a photo of it, as I love everything gold. But, it sold out in a flash in the states. According to Lucy they apparently have a ton of it left at the Charlotte Tilbury store in London. I’m in love with it & definitely plan on doing a video on it even though it’s sold out here. So, if you have friends across the pond, ask them to kindly pick one up for you…🙏🏻
I’m a big supporter of #TeamInternet- and definitely pick up any beauty products made by bloggers and vloggers if it’s something I think I’d like. I loved the concept of the Zoella Beauty Fizz Bar as it’s a bunch of mini bath bombs pressed into a bar & you just break off a square and toss it in the tub. I love the smell of this- sweet and maybe a hint floral. I had wanted to try some things from Zoe’s line when I was visiting London myself, but it turns out that Superdrugs are scarce in London.
And last, but certainly not least, is an honorary Italian 🇮🇹 goodie. The Kiko Cosmetics Water Eyeshadow in 200 was a favorite of mine whenever I was studying abroad. You may even remember me hauling this in my first Italian Beauty Haul that I posted soon after I arrived in Italy. I fell in love with Kiko when I was in Florence, and my shadow had broken on the trip home. I’m so thrilled to have this again as it’s such a beautiful shade- I’m definitely picking up more (along with my favorite Kiko Brow Marker) whenever they open a store in Hollywood (it’s supposed to be coming by the end of this month- I can’t wait!)
Be sure to stay tuned as I play with these babies a little bit more and then I can do some full reviews on them- definitely comment with which one you’d like me to post about first! 👌🏻
