It’s that time of year again where everyone reviews their top products! However, I’m a bit late as I got sick and didn’t film until a week into 2015. But, finally I got the chance to edit this video and super long (pic heavy) blog post to share my favorites with you all.
Watch the video above if you have the chance to hear my full thoughts, but you can read below for a condensed version!
NYX Invincible Foundation ($6): This foundation is the only one I used entirely in 2014- every last drop! I brought it with me while studying abroad and it made my makeup routine very quick. My shade is Ivory if you’re wondering! To see this foundation in action, check out my Back To School Makeup Tutorial.
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer ($29): This concealer is my favorite for highlighting and concealing my under-eyes. I use the shade Vanilla, click on the link above to read my full review of this!
BareMinerals Ready Blush ($23): Looking for a perfect everyday blush? Look no further, because BareMinerals Ready Blush in The Confession is EVERYTHING. I haven’t strayed from this blush color much this year, maybe that means I’m boring, but it never clashes with anything!
BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Moonstone ($38): I have been obsessed with highlighting lately, and this shimmery champagne is the perfect shade for pale girls! Click the link to check out my full review.
NARS Pro Prime Smudge Proof Shadow Base ($25): This primer is THE best primer for oily eyelids. It’s untinted, unlike Urban Decay Primer Potion, which was my old favorite. I don’t think I’ll ever stray from this one! Again, click through the link to see my full review.
INGLOT Freedom System Eyeshadows in 351,330,358,337, & 360 ($7): INGLOT eyeshadows are my absolute favorite because they are super affordable and come in a wide array of colors. I love my matte neutrals, these 5 shades are staples in my makeup routine!
NARS Larger Than Life Eyeliner in Rue Bonaparte ($24): If you’re looking for a brightening eyeliner, look no further! This yellow-toned nude liner is the perfect eye-awakening product for days when you don’t get enough sleep!
Anastasia Clear Brow Gel ($22): This is the best clear brow gel. It really holds your brows in place and the shape of the brush is the best I’ve tried!
NYX Butter Lipstick in Pops ($6): This lipstick was pretty underrated to me- I didn’t even realize it was a favorite until I’d realized how much I’ve used of it. It’s the perfect natural color, like a “my lips but better” shade, goes with anything and everything!
BeautyBlender ($19.95): What more is there to say about the beautyblender? This little sponge will change the way your foundation looks. Don’t buy into the competitors, this is where it’s at!
Batiste Dry Shampoo ($8.99): Dry shampoo is a must for me because I have super oily hair. But, it took forever to find the perfect option for brunettes! Batiste is the best brand I’ve tried and the only one I’ll continue to buy. The tinted dark one is my favorite because it takes less effort, but the regular formula does the job just fine.
Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser ($8.99): This is the most basic, simple face cleanser and it does a great job for my oily skin. I think any skin type could use it, as it’s super gentle. It also does wonders cleaning beautyblenders!
Murad Acne Spot Fast Fix ($16): Since I have issues with acne, which are mostly combatted, I only need a spot treatment instead of acne cleanser and spot treatment combined. I first tried this product during summer and it dried my blemish like that! I have barely had any acne problems in the past few months, but this makes it go away super quickly.
Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm in Lemon & Chamomile ($7.50): I first did a review of these balms last April, and even though I hadn’t tried this scent yet, they were a hit. I love these balms because they’re ultra moisturizing and smell great. My favorite is the Lemon because it smells like Froot Loops cereal! I haven’t had nearly as many dry lip outbreaks since I switched to this balm from drugstore lip balms.
And there we have it! All 14 of my beauty favorites from 2014. Hopefully this post didn’t bore you too much- didn’t know how else to show everything! P.S. So sorry for the absence- school started back up this month and I was totally unprepared. Gotta get back on my blogging game ASAP!
