Last month I caught up with trendy cold-pressed juicery Juice | Served Here at Expo West- a natural products expo in Anaheim. There, they brought some old favorites and introduced some new ones, including, their Mucho Fuego Tonic. I haven’t seen ANYONE write about this yet (and can only find one mention of it in their Coachella blog). So, naturally, I wanted to be first. One thing I’ve noticed recently is that they’ve made the switch from glass bottles to plastic. Glass is more expensive and can break more easily, so this makes sense, although, I always have kept my glass juice bottles from them!
The Mucho Fuego Tonic includes Orange, Ginger, Lime, Turmeric, Cayenne, and Black Pepper Essential Oil. This tonic is for those of you that need an immunity boost in your life. I’ll be honest, it doesn’t taste amazing, but if you’re the type that believes juicing for your health + not just for flavor, this tonic might be your new cold remedy! I love how bold the orange color is and the “TONIC” on the front of the label is gold…so that’s kind of why I gravitated towards it. I don’t know how much this one retails for, but their juices average around ~$10, so I would expect something similar.
Next up, The Pipe Cleaner – aka my favorite juice (and the first one I tried from them years ago). This is a simple blend of Green Apple, Lemon, and Ginger, which is kind of my favorite combination for juice in general. Anything with ginger is something I’m into. This one is super strong, they don’t skimp on the ginger at JSH.
A new-ish product is their Cold Pressed Lemonade line. These are available at places like Coffee Bean (I first tried this one at Groundwork Coffee in DTLA). The Ginger lemonade is a great twist on the classic- and it’s not too sweet for a lemonade. These retail for a little less than the juices, at $6, because it’s not straight up juice. These are great if you want a juice flavor but with less calories/sugar, since it has water in it!
The Aloe Lemonade is new to me, but always looked interesting due to the dark green shade from the chlorophyll included. This one has a touch of lime and tastes like a spa-water in a way, but it did leave my tongue green, which was kind of hilarious.
And lastly, a newer juice addition to Juice Served Here is The Cali – a blend of citrus including Orange, Grapefruit, and Tangerine Oil mixed with Pomegranate and Silica. To me, this one was pretty bitter- like due to the grapefruit and tangerine oil. So, if you love grapefruit and don’t have a sweet tooth, you may like this one!
Juice Served Here has tons of locations in LA and are expanding to a cafe in Marina Del Rey soon- I’ll be super curious to try that out once it opens, since there will be food involved…Let me know in the comments- what’s your favorite kind of juice?
