This past weekend was chock full of events, so in this vlog I’m taking you along with me!
Ipsy Generation Beauty 2014 Recap, Haul & Giveaway | Video
This past weekend I headed over to Generation Beauty, hosted by Ipsy and Michelle Phan. This is the 2nd Gen Beauty, and I have attended both events. I think the difference between this event is that you get your money’s worth when it comes to ticket prices. I got my ticket for $50 early bird, and they went up to $150. But, we got at least that amount back in new and exciting beauty products given during “happy hour” at the end of the day, where you get products from every single brand attending. I was pleased to see that there were a lot more brands this year, although there were a few repeat brands. I was lucky to attend the pre-party for YouTubers at YouTube Space LA, and even got to meet Michelle Phan herself! It wasn’t anything remarkable, though, just a photo…because she had to leave!
Between the pre-party and the actual event, I scored a ton of beauty products from the Generation Beauty sponsors: bareMinerals, Benefit, China Glaze, NYX Cosmetics, Laneige, Forever 21, Crown Brush, Vincent Longo, Sexy Hair, HSI, Temptu, Soho Beauty, Pixi, Proactiv, Cargo, Oscar Blandi, Josie Maran, Purminerals, Eva NYC, Em Cosmetics, Pacifica, Lush, Dermalogica, LA Girl, and City Color. Tons of brands! Watch the video to see what products I received!:
Want to win some of my Gen Beauty haulage? Make sure to pay attention to the instructions in the video! Giveaway ends June 18th 12:00AM PST! I loved this event, but it was very different from last year. I didn’t gain as much from the panels, as they weren’t as intimate. There were a ton of lines and it was a hassle to get around (reported 3x the amount of people from last year). Regardless, it was fun and I got some great products out of it.

What I Wore: Target Blue Printed Fit & Flare Dress
Dress: Target | Shoes: Clarks | Sunglasses: ASOS | Necklace: Outrage Fashion
This weekend I went to Generation Beauty and I wanted to wear some nice outfits for the occasion. I bought 2 new outfits just for the event! I typically struggle to find decent outfits, but I can usually never go wrong with dresses. I found this Target Xhilaration Junior’s Printed Fit & Flare Dress and I loved the pattern and color. I tried it on and it fit perfectly and was only $24.99. I like this dress shape on my body type, also the designer swimwear for women, because it is very flattering. I knew it would pair well with a statement necklace, so I wore my Jones Necklace from Outrage Fashion. I should have wore another necklace, because I just realized I featured this necklace in my last fashion post. As for shoes, I wore white wedges from Clarks, which I also wore to my high school graduation 4 years ago, so they definitely don’t have this style anymore. They have some similar white sandals with the same nice small wedge so they are a breeze to walk in. My sunglasses are ASOS Oversized Round Sunglasses that are perfect for my face shape and are a cool matte black color. I really liked this outfit a lot! It suits me well, and would pair excellently with my signature orange lip!
