A couple of months ago I hauled these products from new brand ColourPop Cosmetics. I filmed a first impressions the first time I used the products and can share my thoughts with you today! I’ve been using these products for a couple of months so I can share my full opinion on this up and coming brand.
I hauled products from each of the lines at the time: Lippie Stix, Lippie Pencils, and Super Shock Shadows. They’ve since added both blushes, highlighters, and bronzers which all came out after I purchased and filmed my video. But, still plenty of fun products to talk about!
First I’ll review the Super Shock Shadows: a formula that is truly unique. The shadows feel similar to a cream, but they work like a powder. This cream-powder hybrid hasn’t been done before that I know of, and it’s super unique! I find that the shadows work best with fingers because of the formula.
Lovely is a gorgeous champagne gold packed with a ton of shimmer. Hanky Panky is described as a cool toned brown, but as you can see it looks very warm. Nonetheless, both are beautiful shades! I don’t have any complains other than the fact that I always get fallout when I use Lovely, but the shimmer makes up for it because it is stunning. I like Hanky Panky, but not as much as I’d hoped as I prefer cool shades.
I really wanted to try the primer because I don’t have a lip primer, and I thought this one would work well with testing the Lippie Stix.
The primer feels silicone-y and then dries down to a tacky finish. It blurs imperfections and makes lips matte before applying your lipstick. Plus, it smells like vanilla frosting!
I bought Lippie Pencil in Bullchic because I have a black lipstick I like to wear and never had a liner for it- I just always used an eyeliner! So, this punny black shade was perfect.
Next time I plan on putting some concealer on my lips to get rid of the pink pigmentation, then I think this will work like a charm!
Next, I got Chi-Chi because it is my signature shade- orange! I got the Lippie Stix and pencil so I would be able to try both together. I think the combination works well- the pencil is drier and the lipstick is creamier, with a satin finish, although it pretty much acts matte once you apply.
The only notable difference is that the Lippie Pencil seems more red/darker than the Lippie Stix…but you’d expect a perfect match!
Overall I think I’d prefer an orange that’s more yellow and less red, but it’s a nice color for sure.
Lastly, I got Brink because it is supposed to be similar to Kylie Jenner’s lip look. It’s a matte finish which I was excited to try as well.
The color is a bit more rosy than what I would attribute to Kylie Jenner’s lipstick, but it’s a gorgeous My Lips But Better kind of shade.
I really love the ColourPop matte finish- it’s long-lasting without being drying.
Overall I’m really impressed with the entire ColourPop line. The price is right (everything under $10 a piece!), gorgeous packaging, and great product. Let me know what products are you favorite- and what should I try next?
