I finally found the elusive Facets of Fuchsia at Target in Las Vegas! Yay! This is a gorgeous polish that is a dupe of Deborah Lippmann’s polish in “Bad Romance” It is a pretty black jelly-ish creme with small and big hex glitters throughout! Now onto photos!
Island Girl Surfer Babe
Hey guys! Blogging from Vegas! I bought this nail polish to give to my little sister, but I wanted to try it myself first. The Island Girl line isn’t available where I live, so I picked it up at the ABC Stores at the Miracle Mile. I first read about these polishes from The PolishAholic I believe 🙂 The bottles are reminiscent to China Glaze and Savina, and are priced at $2.99 where I got them! Surfer Babe is a gorgeous almost neon green-blue color.
This is 2 coats. I found the polish to be really thick so when I get back I may give my sister some of the restore drops from Zoya to put in this. The only downside I’ve found is that it doesn’t wear long. I’ve been wearing it for less than a day and my left ring finger chipped (why I am covering it in the first photo!) But, my topcoat was supbar so I bet it’d work better with a real topcoat. I just used a blacklight topcoat from Rite Aid because I brought it along for the Ke$ha concert I went to, although I didn’t end up using it. It’s also the same reason as why I used the glitter!
Catrice Easy Peasy, Lemon Squeezy!
The subtitle for this blogpost should be: Warning: DO NOT try to paint your nails in a moving vehicle, specially if that vehicle is not even covered by One Sure Insurance in case of any accidents. I was en route to Santa Barbara with my Dad, and I had to paint my nails. Freeway speeds and steady hands do not belong in the same sentence! I got this polish in my swap with Elodie, and it’s a really unique color! I had to use 3 coats even though the cap says it’ll only need 2. It kind of reminds me of China Glaze’s Electric Pineapple, but lighter. Now, onto photos, where you can see the little wrinkles and dips that occurred from rushing application in the car!
So, what do you think of this polish? (the color, not my application, heeheh)
H&M Moody Model and Revlon Galaxy
Today I have a very pretty combo for you guys, H&M Moody Model from my swap with Elodie, as well as Revlon Galaxy which I’ve already owned! I have finals Monday and Tuesday so I wanted a pretty color that wasn’t too loud, and I couldn’t resist the bling! This polish was 2 easy coats. The formulation seems to be in between a cream and a jelly, which is cool! The brush is long and medium width, and isn’t very stiff. I found the width to be good to do 3 strokes to cover most of my nails.
Base Coat: Orly Bonder
2 coats of H&M Moody Model
2 coats of Revlon Galaxy on my ring fingers
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri
Catrice Forget Me Not Swatches
This is Catrice’s Forget-Me-Not! It’s a gorgeous metallic purple with silver shimmer. It looks different in the bottle than it is on the nail, but it is fabulous nonetheless. It is only 1 coat in these photos! This is also after 1 day of wear because I didn’t have my camera until the next day. Isn’t it gorgeous? I got this color from my swap with Elodie from Accropolish! I think this would also look good with some nice glitter with crackle on top!
