Don’t they look fab?!
This past Sunday I went to an event at the LUSH at Universal Citywalk to check out their new Easter products. It was cool to see demos of each product and I definitely want to pick a few up! These products are already on the LUSH website, so check them out here!
Carrot Top Bubble Bar, $7.95: This lemon and buchu scented bubble bar is an awesome product because you can use it for up to 10 baths. The bubble bar actually looks like a carrot. Just hold it by the green corn husk top and swish it around in your bath.
Fluffy Egg Bath Bomb, $6.95: The Fluffy Egg Bath Bomb is one of my favorites- it is a sickeningly sweet scent, my favorite! This one smells like the discontinued Candy Fluff dusting powder. It’s described as a vanilla ice cream cone that fell into a cotton candy machine! I love this one, and I definitely have to pick it up.
The Immaculate Eggception- Pink, $12.95: This is an awesome bath bomb that you can crack in half and has a cute little chick inside! This one is a little expensive, but it can be easily used for at least 3 baths. It is scented with ylang ylang, grapefruit, and vanilla. This was my favorite of the two.
The Immaculate Eggception-Yellow, $12.95: This is the same one as the one I just mentioned, but it has a cute rabbit inside instead of a chick. It is scented the same as the pink one, but in my opinion it smells a little bit more citrusy.
Bunny Knot Wrap, $5.95
Chick Knot Wrap, $4.95
Kiss Me I’m Irish Bundle ($6/$8.50)-You can get this bundle for only $6 online- it’s regular price is $8.50! And if you have coupons, you can get a better deal! If you’re a fan of St. Patty’s day, then go all out with this set!
Kiss Me I’m Irish Hand Soap ($5.50)- This is a green apple scented hand soap, great for everyone! I find that BBW’s hand soaps really leave a powerful scent on my hands for quite a while afterwards!
Who’s Your Paddy PocketBac ($1.50)- This green apple scent matches the hand soap! Talk about CLEAN scent layering!
Kiss Me I’m Irish PocketBac ($1.50)- This hand sanitizer is a berry lemonade scent. Not too sure how that translate to St. Patrick’s day, but hey, it’ll do! Perfect for any Irish lass looking for a lad 😉
Donna Karan (DKNY) is launching her spring line of perfumes to attach to her famous “Be Delicious” fragrances. The DKNY Be Delicious line has launched around 10 fragrances thus far. For spring, the collection is comprised of 3 fragrances: Pink Macaroon, Tart Key Lime, and Creamy Meringue.Inspired by cupcakes, this is bound to be a deliciously sweet collection! I think this collection is an awesome idea! These perfumes are cute little pastels and even come with a recipe for their inspired cupcake! How adorable!
Pink Macaroon is inspired by those beautifully expensive french almond confections. It includes top notes of nectarine and kumquat, middle notes of pomegranate and rose marzipan (rose + almond paste), and base notes of amber and tonka. I think it is an interesting concept for perfume and I am a fan of macarons as well. The only thing that peeves me is that I prefer to call them macaron’s because macaroons are coconut. Oh well.
Tart Key Lime is inspired by the cool and refreshing qualities of key lime pie. It’s top notes consist of tart key lime pie, bergamot, mandarin, and orange. The middle notes include basil, ginger, and neroli. Lastly, the base note is violet leaf. I think having basil in it is bound to be very interesting. I used to have a hand soap from Bath and Body Works that featured both lime and basil, so I am sure it will be a great fresh scent.
The last scent, Creamy Meringue is surely inspired by a lemon meringue pie. The top notes blend lemon cream, bergamot, and crepe Suzette. If you don’t know, crepe Suzette is a sweet and citrusy crepe that is flambeed with liqueur. The middle notes have freesia, frangipani, and passion flower. The base notes have cedar, white amber and musk. This one looks interesting but I don’t think I’d like it.
You can find DKNY Fragrances at Macy’s, Sephora, etc. and will likely cost $42-$75 depending on the sizing. I’m excited to find these in stores so I can smell them and possibly get a sample. I am not on the market for a new perfume, but samples are my most favorite thing ever!

Color Club has just released a collection featuring 6 scented topcoats. They have released 2 scented polish collections in the past, so I think it’s awesome that they are topcoats so you can customize them to add to any color. These retail for $8 each! The unique thing about these scents is that they are balanced multi-note fragrances, not one-dimensional scents. Scrangie, who has swatched and reviewed them has compared them to multiple high end fragrances such as: YSL Parisienne, D&G Light Blue, etc. I’ll describe each of the polishes for you to see for yourself!
I think this is a pretty cool concept. Fragrance and nail polish are already emerging intertwined, but the fact that this is customizable and replicates high end scents is awesome! I would be most willing to try out Mimic because I LOVE Parisienne.
