Introducing Make Up By One Direction, a new line of fun keepsake tins, full of makeup for Directioners! This line is called “The Looks Collection” and features 3 different looks inspired by 1D albums. I have the “Up All Night” kit to share today, which is fun party girl inspired. I wanted to do a video along with my review to test how the products worked in real-time, so if you want to see how to create a look with these products, check it out below!

See the eye crayon, 4 eyeshadows, cream glitter, lipstick, and lip gloss swatches below:
I’m impressed with the pigmentation of everything, aside from the shadows! They aren’t entirely awful, I have just seen much better pigmentation from other brands. Also, the shimmery shadows have an overspray that comes off, but the shadow underneath is still shimmery, just not as metallic.
The nail polish Na Na Na is a pretty but not entirely unique mermaid blue green, that applies best in at least 2 coats.
The look that I created with the palette isn’t wearable at all! Whoever let them make the decision to put a hot pink lip and bright blue shadow probably needs to go back to 1980. I like the colors separately, but together it’s a hot clubbing mess.
As I stated in the video, I was very disappointed with the eyeshadows, because they didn’t have much pigmentation and seemed to blend and fade away quickly. The mascara isn’t bad, but it didn’t wow me. I liked it on my bottom lashes, though. I was most impressed with the eye and body crayon, Stand Up, it’s a very pretty color and is reminiscent of NYX Jumbo Pencils.
The cream glitter shadow is a mess, it creases immediately, which I kind of figured would happen. If they kept it to a quad and maybe added a glitter eyeliner, that would be fun.
The I Should Have Kissed lipstick is a bright (nearly neon) bubblegum pink. When applied, it comes off very chalky and I can see every line or imperfection in my lips. It also stains lips a lot as well, which can be a good or a bad thing.
The Liquilights Lip Gloss in Taken is pretty cool because it glows under a UV light, which I demonstrate at the end of my video. The color doesn’t exactly match the lipstick, so it does darken the look. It’s not sticky, but unfortunately I could feel the grit of the glitter flecks once I rubbed my lips together.
Overall I’d really only recommend this set if you are a One Directions super fan. The products aren’t good enough otherwise to recommend to your average beauty junkie such as myself, as they are reminiscent to kiddie makeup. I wish I had received one of the other sets, because the colors seem a lot more flattering than this one, and I’m sure my review would have been a lot nicer (and my tutorial a lot prettier)!
