My November Beauty Box 5 landed on my doorstep recently so I decided I’d do a live YouTube unboxing so I’d be surprised! I know I just posted my October Beauty Box 5 a few days ago, but I got that one very late in the month because I had joined their blogger program at the end of October. So, it won’t be like this from now one! Anyways, here are my first impressions of the box from my unboxing video- keep on reading to see my full review!
Overall I was pretty impressed with this box! I actually preferred this month over October. I’m excited to see December’s box, because the holidays always bring great presents! Here are my full reviews of each of the products in my box:
The first product I received was Secret’s Clinical Strength Deodorant ($7.99). This one is in the “completely clean” scent and is an invisible solid. I just received this deodorant (along with the gel formula) as a Klout perk, so I’ll be reviewing it in fuller detail later. So far I really like this deodorant, so it’s nice to have a backup. It smells fresh and I feel like it lasts a long time. What makes it different than other deodorant is that I find that I don’t get as much clumping under my arms! Sexy, right?
Next up was Montagne Jeunesse Glacial Clay Spa Mask ($2.49). I really love face masks so it was nice to get it in this box! What I didn’t realize in my video was that this mask was actually a clay infused sheet mask, which I thought was pretty unique! I liked this mask a lot- it hardened on my face and felt really nice on my skin. After taking it off, my skin felt silky soft!
I also got this shimmer powder from BellaPierre cosmetics ($14). I decided to give it away because I don’t have a need for a purple pigment right now…I have plenty of shadows as it is! This was a full sized product, though, which is always great.
The only non-full size item I received was Aveeno’s Calming Body Wash. This smelled really great (like lavender and chamomile), but I am holding off on using it until I go out of town later this week. I’m sure it’ll be great though, because you can’t really go wrong with body wash!
The last item was a full-sized lip balm from Body Drench ($4.99). This Eucalyptus “Lip Drench” lip balm had me wary at first, because I don’t think I’d like eucalyptus on my lips, but thankfully it just smells minty. I don’t find that it moisturizes my lips as much as what I already use, but I like this a lot because it tastes good! Not a lot of balms are both scented and flavored, so it was a pleasant surprise to find out that this tasted just as minty fresh as it smelled.
I was very impressed with this month’s Beauty Box 5 box. I think it is well worth the $12 value! Definitely check out this service if you’re on the market. Looking forward to what’s in next month’s box. Let me know if you’d like me to do a video on that one as well!
