Naturebox is a fun box that contains 5 healthy snack foods for $19.95 a month. I received the December box for free, so I wanted to review these snacks for you guys! The December box was the best snacks of 2012, which was a great box to start with, in my opinion! It included 5 snacks: pistachio power clusters, lemon pucker pistachios, dried pears, masa crisps, and wild blueberry flax granola.
My favorite item in the box was the Masa Crisps. I wish I had more of these! These masa crisps have flaxseeds in them which made them a bit healthier. They taste exactly like corn chips (think Fritos), but are a lot better for you! My family like these a lot too.
There were Dried Pears in this box, but I honestly didn’t like them. I’m not too crazy about dried fruit, but I do like regular pears. These tasted fine, but I don’t like the texture of dried fruit like this! But, that’s a personal thing.
Next were these Lemon Pucker Pistachios. I love pistachios but never had flavored ones. These were pretty good, but I think I prefer regular pistachios. They would be better with a little spicy kick to them, perhaps!
The Pistachio Power Clusters were a combination of a few different nuts with salt and sugar to form a cluster. These were not my favorite, I’d rather just have plain salted nuts. I do think they could use more salt, though!
The Wild Blueberry Flax Granola is a yummy combo of freeze dried blueberries with flavored granola. I wish it had more blueberries on it, because I think freeze dried blueberries aren’t easy to come by, and they were so good!
Overall it was a pretty yummy treat to get in the mail! This isn’t something I’d subscribe to every month, but it would be fun to get the best of the year box every year to try some of the best snacks. One con I see is that they don’t sell their snacks individually, so I’ll have to kiss my favorite masa crisps goodbye forever, it seems.
