So today is my 20th birthday, so I’m taking a break to relax, have some fun, and eat cake! I put this post together full of some photo memories just for fun- hope you like them!
Have an awesome day everyone!

I received these Aveeno wipes as a Klout Perk, and I couldn’t wait to test them, because makeup wipes are an essential for me! These wipes are one of my new favorites. They take off all of my makeup, smell nice, and don’t leave a greasy film after removing my makeup. They actually make my skin quite soft afterwards. I’m really impressed so I will definitely be buying these when I am in a pinch for wipes. Short and sweet review for a great product!
**I was given a free product or sample because I’m a Klout influencer. I was under no obligation to receive the sample or talk about this company. I get no additional benefits for talking about the product or company. Read Klout’s Influencer Code of Ethics or my Disclosure Policy for more information.
While I was at HBA Expo I was introduced to Grand Central Beauty and their unique face mask. It’s a really cool mask that you mix yourself, and as it dries, it peels off with a unique texture. I really like the mask and felt like it really brightened my skin. I like that you mix the mask yourself because I know it’ll remain fresh and the ingredients are at their highest potency! The mask retails for $75 for 4 uses (once a week you make the mask), so if you can afford that, I’d definitely recommend you to check them out. They also sample through Beauty Army, so if you subscribe, choose them as a sample if it pops up! Their site speaks for itself!
When the mask is dries after 15 minutes, the edges will be dry and white so you can peel it off!
The mask is easy to remove, but the drier white parts like to stick everywhere (as you can see in the photo), so be wary while applying. I feel like my skin looked more even and bright, with just a tad bit of redness because my skin gets pretty red.
Here is the process of making the mask, if you are interested in seeing it!
Urban Decay recently launched their new Naked Skin foundation, an extension of their famous Naked palettes. I got a sneak peek of this awesome foundation at IMATS 2012, which I posted about here. It is the best foundation I have ever tried! I like how easy their shading system is. For those with warm and yellow undertones, like I do, the shades end with a .0, and those with pink cool undertones, the shades end with a .5.
The packaging is really nice. It’s a nice plastic bottle (it’d be nice if it was glass, but then it’d be more expensive!) with a metallic top. The bottle also has some sort of mixing ball inside so the pigments stay nice and mixed. I’ve never seen a foundation do that, so that is a good feature!
Here is a swatch of the foundation. It’s a nice liquid formulation that emulates the skin pretty well I’d say!
It provides a medium coverage, and is build-able if you use a little bit more. For example, I use 1 pump for light to medium coverage and 2 pumps for high coverage.
I just recently posted a foundation routine video using this foundation, and I think it looks amazing! What do you think? I’d definitely recommend you to try this foundation- get a sample at your Sephora! This foundation retails for $38 for 1 oz, which was less expensive than my old foundation, so I’m satisfied. I’m looking at eventually picking up their optical blurring brush that launched with this foundation also, because it looks really nice!
What foundation do you use?
I love nail polish, if you didn’t notice. I have seen some other bloggers posting about Polish & Co., and ever since I’ve been lusting after their colors- they are ALL awesome…not a dud in the bunch! Their website is also SUPER cute- I love when companies have great product, sites, photos, and packaging! All of the names are great…such as “Eggplant Parmesean,” “Text or Email,” “Pink You,” and more! Can I just have them all now?
