If you weren’t aware, a few months ago I entered Broadway Nail’s Video Star contest on Facebook. I ended up winning, thanks to my awesome subscribers! I was sent a TON of products to have (although I am giving most away because of the sheer fact I do not NEED all of this) and I was eager to try this product. I am kind of against fake nails….which is ironic that I was sent tons of fake nails. But, since this was just BRUSH ON gel, I decided to try it. I asked Broadway via their Facebook if we could use the gel without the tips. They said yes, so I was off to try it.
The kit comes with 48 tips, a nail file, an orange stick, the brush on gel, the brush on gel ACTIVATOR, and the brush cleaner, which is used with the activator.
I thought this was a lot of steps but I still was eager to try it.
First, you apply 1 coat of the gel, and while still wet, apply the activator. So you have to work with 1 hand or only a few fingers at a time.
Then, you have to apply a second coat of both in the same manner..
I had an “oopsie” during this step, though.
I accidentally dipped the Brush on Gel brush into the Brush on ACTIVATOR’s bottle! Basically it activated the gel on the brush and made it rock hard. So, I had already attempted to stroke it onto my thumb and it left a horrendous mark. I got a different brush from a different polish and kept on going.
At this point, my nails looked beautifully shiny. It then instructs to apply polish as usual, so I applied OPI Steady As She Rose. After 2 coats, it looked beautiful and shiny. However, then I noticed that it was still wet, moving around, etc. up to 24 hours later. (I only wore this for 24 hours) I was able to make marks in the polish and scrape some off, which you can’t do with normal polish when it’s dry.
When I woke up the next morning, it had a weird texture, some of the tips had worn/slipped down, AND I could still press my nail into it and leave a mark.
So, I decided to remove it around 24 hours after I had applied it. It was SO HARD to remove. It was sticky and goopy and just overall sucked, it took me like 30 minutes to remove it completely.
I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone. I really wish it would have worked.
I will probably be throwing this away or swapping it or something because I don’t want it (I will keep the orange stick though because I ran out hehe)
Disclaimer: I received the Broadway Brush On Gel Kit for free, and that is obviously not influencing my opinion!**This post contains one or more products that I have gotten for free– for more information, please read my Disclosure Policy**

Too bad you had a rotten experience. I use this product all the time with GREAT results. It sounds to me like you didn't use enough activator on the gel OR you applied your polish before the gel had dried. Soak your nails in acetone for about 5 minutes and you can easily scrape it off.

I'm glad you like it! Thankfully I've found a product that I like better now!
